The Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) is a 12-week internship that bridges the gap between academic study and a professional internship. Interns work on a software project alongside another STEP intern, with support from full-time Googlers and a mentor. The program includes trainings to enhance technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities: • Apply knowledge from computer science courses to real-world challenges • Complete a challenging technical project with Googlers and other STEP interns • Enhance coding skills using new tools and programming languages • Attend training sessions to build professional skills • Work with a Google engineer mentor throughout the internship
Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in second, third, or fourth year of a full-time Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field in Israel • Available to intern full-time from August 2025 till November 2025, and part-time from November 2025 till January 2026 • Programming experience in Java, C++, or Python • Preferred: Returning to a full-time Bachelor's degree for at least two years after the internship • Preferred: Programming experience outside of university courses • Preferred: Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
