Systems Development Engineer III

Google is seeking a Systems Development Engineer III to join their Public Sector team, focusing on managing services and systems at scale. This role combines infrastructure automation, security implementation, and cross-domain solutions development.

The position requires expertise in Linux/Unix environments, automation using Python, Shell, or Go, and a strong understanding of security principles. You'll be working with Google's Public Sector division, helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations.

As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing cross-domain solutions that enable secure data exchange between networks of different security classifications. This involves close collaboration with technical experts, security teams, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet stringent security and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities include maintaining CDS systems, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring compliance with government and industry security standards. You'll work with security assessment teams, conduct testing and validation, and engage with government agencies and industry partners.

The position offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $132,000-$189,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. This role requires an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph and is based in Reston, VA.
