Description For Technical Operations Engineer

Google is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join their Platforms and Devices team. This role is crucial in providing technical support and enabling the people and technology that keep Google running. As part of the IT Support Technician team, you'll be responsible for front-line user support for internal tools and technologies, while also contributing to longer-term technical projects and process improvements.

The position combines hands-on technical support with automation and tool development, focusing on improving the productivity of silicon engineers.   • Provide support to help improve the productivity of silicon engineers
  • Develop scripts, tools, processes or solutions to prevent problems, improve user productivity and automate recurring tasks
  • Partner with peers, vendors and other technical support teams to coordinate troubleshooting, process and resolution for incidents
  • Develop scripts, tools, processes or solutions to prevent problems, improve user productivity and automate recurring tasks as part of global service improvements

Requirements For Technical Operations Engineer

Linux
Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 year of experience in designing, developing, or troubleshooting Linux, networking, mobile, video conferencing, or voice technologies
  • Experience troubleshooting issues for multiple operating systems
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and leadership skills
  • Interest in learning customer workflows, identifying pain points, and designing/implementing creative solutions
