Description For Technical Program Manager, Data Center Equipment, Demand and Supply Planning

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Data Center Equipment, Demand and Supply Planning to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects. This role combines technical expertise with program management to oversee data center equipment planning for both sustaining and new products. The position involves interpreting data center demand signals and translating them into actionable supply plans.

The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams including Data Center Supply Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Fulfillment, Commodity Management, and Contract Manufacturing to develop and execute accurate supply and inventory plans throughout the product lifecycle. They will apply supply chain principles and problem-solving skills to key planning processes.

This role offers an opportunity to influence Google's growing data center infrastructure supply chain through establishing metrics, driving process improvements, and achieving efficiency goals. The position requires strong leadership capabilities, with requirements including 8 years of program management experience and 5 years in leadership roles.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $183,000 to $271,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The role can be based in either Kirkland, WA or Atlanta, GA, offering flexibility in location choice.

  • Manage material supply, including inventory, to meet existing and new product demand requirements
  • Identify and solve supply chain gaps and inefficiencies
  • Leverage market intelligence and statistical inputs towards driving continued improvements
  • Develop short- and long-term supply models to minimize total costs and inventories
  • Lead a planning team, and mentor, develop, and motivate them

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Data Center Equipment, Demand and Supply Planning

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in program management
  • 5 years of experience in leadership roles, with/without direct reports
  • 4 years of experience managing projects
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning tools
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects
  • 5 years of experience in supervisory roles
  • Ability to communicate/collaborate cross-functionally
  • Excellent spreadsheet/database skills
