Google's Android Partner Engineering team is seeking a Technical Solutions Consultant to drive success in key Android and Google apps partnerships with OEMs. This role combines technical expertise with partnership management, requiring a strong background in Android/Linux systems and software development. You'll work globally with OEMs, carriers, and chip-set vendors to extend Android's capabilities.

Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Consultant, Android OEM Partner Engineering

  • Advocate new features and policy with Google's products including Google Mobile Services (GMS) apps and Android
  • Resolve technical tests promptly and ensure enablement and launches of products in quality
  • Ensure seamless integration and customization of partner's solution by providing technical guidance
  • Improve Android product features by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams
  • Oversee engineering projects with partners, ensuring they stay on track and are completed as planned

Requirements For Technical Solutions Consultant, Android OEM Partner Engineering

Java
Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in solution engineering or architecture
  • 6 years of experience in software technology or technical partner management in Android or Linux-based embedded systems
  • 5 years of experience in stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting
  • 3 years of experience writing code in Python or Java
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in Android platform or application development (preferred)
  • Experience in consulting and technical consulting in customer-facing role (preferred)
