Description For Technical Solutions Developer, Workspace Support, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Solutions Developer to join their Workspace Support team. This role combines technical expertise with customer support, focusing on resolving complex technical issues for Google Workspace customers. As a Technical Solutions Developer, you'll be part of a global team providing 24/7 support, helping customers transition smoothly to Google Cloud services.

The position requires strong debugging skills across multiple programming languages (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript) and deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, and cloud technologies. You'll troubleshoot technical problems using a combination of debugging, networking, system administration, and when necessary, coding/scripting abilities.

Key responsibilities include managing customer issues through diagnosis and resolution, developing tools for faster problem identification, and acting as a technical consultant for internal stakeholders. You'll need to understand Google's product technology deeply and advocate for customer needs with Product Management and Engineering teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong technical skills with customer service orientation.   • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in reading or debugging code with Java, C, C++, Python or JavaScript
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs
  • Ability to work differing work rotations/shifts and non-standard work hours
