Test Infrastructure Development Engineer

Google is seeking a Test Infrastructure Development Engineer to join their Manufacturing Operations team, which is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. This role combines software development expertise with hardware and networking knowledge to support Google's massive computing infrastructure.

The position requires a strong background in both software development and manufacturing environments. You'll be working with object-oriented programming languages like Python, Java, or Go, while also managing hardware platforms and network configurations. The role involves close collaboration with contract manufacturers' IT teams to integrate solutions into their networks.

As part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you'll be instrumental in keeping Google's networks running efficiently and ensuring users have the best possible experience. The role involves developing and maintaining software features in Python within a Linux environment, while also focusing on manufacturing process optimization and qualification activities.

Key responsibilities include identifying and specifying hardware platforms, deploying solutions to partner sites, driving process design and optimization, and translating stakeholder requirements into complete designs. You'll need to balance technical expertise with strong communication skills as you'll be interacting with various teams and stakeholders.
