Uber Technical Lead, Spaces Engineering

Google is seeking an Uber Technical Lead for their Spaces Engineering team in Hyderabad, India. This is a senior technical leadership role within Google's Corp Eng organization, which builds world-leading business solutions that scale Google's internal operations. The position requires a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in system design, architecture, and team leadership.

The role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on developing cross-pillar architectures and frameworks for long-term product development. The successful candidate will collaborate with Production Tech Leads and US-based Domain Tech leads to drive engineering excellence across the Spaces portfolio. They will be responsible for overseeing designs, mentoring engineers, and participating in technical forums.

As part of Google's IT organization, this role contributes to providing end-to-end solutions for organizations across Google, delivering tools and platforms that enable Googlers to create more helpful products and services. The position requires strong technical skills in software development, data structures, and algorithms, combined with excellent communication abilities to work across significant timezone differences.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of software development experience, with demonstrated expertise in testing and launching software products. They should be capable of understanding and protecting user privacy and S/PII data while working cross-functionally with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Technical Program Managers to deliver mission-critical impact across every campus and data center.
