Senior Backend Engineer - Mimir

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for their Mimir squad, which is responsible for maintaining the Mimir OSS project and operating Grafana Cloud Metrics across major cloud providers. The role involves working on large-scale distributed systems implemented in Go and running on Kubernetes.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred, but Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar are translatable)
• Experience in delivering projects end-to-end
• Experience with cloud software development or systems engineering
• Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and ability to break down complex challenges

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Kafka
• Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Experience with on-call duties and SRE tasks

The position is remote, with a focus on candidates in the UK, Sweden, Germany, or Spain. Grafana Labs offers a competitive salary range of SEK 738,518 - SEK 923,148, along with equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits.
