Staff Software Engineer - Alloy and OpenTelemetry Collector

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Alloy team, focusing on their OpenTelemetry Collector distribution. This role is part of the Observability department, which enables developers to understand application and infrastructure performance through Grafana Cloud - a composable observability platform integrating metrics, logs, and traces.

The position involves working with open-source technologies, particularly the OpenTelemetry collector community and Prometheus ecosystem. You'll be responsible for developing new functionality, contributing to design documents, supporting customers with their observability pipelines, and participating in on-call rotations.
