Description For AI/ML Engineer

GSK is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their Biomedical AI Team, focusing on applying cutting-edge machine learning and AI methods to drug development challenges. The role specifically involves working on viral evolution modeling for diseases like Influenza, RSV, and COVID-19, supporting the development of innovative treatments using platforms such as mRNA vaccines, oligonucleotides, and monoclonal antibodies.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of AI and healthcare, where you'll be developing state-of-the-art deep learning models to solve complex biological and drug discovery challenges. Responsibilities For AI/ML Engineer

  • Develop SOTA deep learning models for solving challenging real world scientific problems
  • Convert biological/drug discovery challenges into well-defined machine learning problems
  • Execute and deliver full AI/ML driven solutions
  • Source training data
  • Design and implement SOTA machine learning models
  • Test, benchmark and conduct product driven research for model improvement
  • Ship stable, tested, performant code and services in an agile environment
  • Work on viral evolution modeling using large scale datasets

Requirements For AI/ML Engineer

Python
  • Graduate studies in Computer Science or Applied Math, or undergraduate studies with relevant experience
  • Experience in developing deep learning models
  • Expertise in machine learning engineering and software engineering
  • Experience with standard deep learning algorithms and model architectures
  • Familiarity with current deep learning literature and math of machine learning
  • Knowledge in machine learning best practices
  • Experience in PyTorch, Tensorflow, or other deep learning frameworks
  • Advanced skills in python and/or C++
  • Experience with devops stacks: version control, CI/CD, containerization
