Description For Support Engineer II

GSK's Onyx Research Data Tech organization is seeking a Support Engineer II to join their team. This role is part of GSK's research data ecosystem, which focuses on bringing together, analyzing, and powering the exploration of data at scale. The position involves working with a full-stack shop consisting of product leadership, data engineering, infrastructure and DevOps, and AI/ML platforms.

As a Support Engineer II, you'll be responsible for providing technical solutions to complex issues reported by Onyx customers. The role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in troubleshooting, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. You'll be working with technologies including Python, Java, and Scala, while supporting data platforms on cloud environments.

Requirements For Support Engineer II

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in reading and following code in languages like Python, Java, or Scala
  • 2+ years of experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • 1+ years of experience with virtual compute technologies containers
  • 2+ years of experience in supporting data platforms on cloud environments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
