Principal Engineer

Haleon, a world-leading consumer healthcare company, is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their technology team. This role represents the highest level of individual contributor positions within the organization, focusing on building scalable, high-performance web solutions using the MERN tech stack.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with the Media, Content and Commerce team supporting Marketing at Haleon. Operating within a Scrum framework, you'll be instrumental in delivering value to the Consumer Healthcare business through various applications utilizing technologies like React.js, Node.js, Vue.js, Python, Databricks, and Kubernetes.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be expected to champion best practices in software engineering, including microservices architecture, API-First and event-based integration, and Cloud Native/SaaS hosting. The role involves leading complex technical projects, mentoring other engineers, and driving technical excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring approximately 10 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in leadership roles. You'll need deep expertise in Azure Cloud services, JavaScript frameworks, and modern DevOps practices. Your responsibilities will include leading system refactoring, handling complex production issues, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
