Engineer II - Front-End Foundations

HashiCorp's Front-end Experiences organization is seeking an Engineer II for their Foundations team to support and enhance the company's UI engineering capabilities. This role is part of the team responsible for Helios (HashiCorp's design system), accessibility programs, and maintaining UI reliability.

The position focuses on improving front-end UI stability through security, dependency management, and developer experience initiatives. You'll work on modernizing codebases, implementing the latest Ember.js patterns, and ensuring consistent UI engineering processes across products.

Key responsibilities include upgrading dependencies, improving application performance, implementing the HashiCorp Design System, and leading medium-sized frontend projects. The role requires strong collaboration skills and expertise in JavaScript frameworks (particularly Ember.js), responsive layouts, and web accessibility standards.

HashiCorp offers competitive compensation with base pay ranges varying by location:

• SF Bay Area/NYC: $151,300 - $178,000 USD
• Other CA/NY locations, Seattle Metro, Denver/Boulder Metro, DC, MD: $138,600 - $163,100 USD
• CO, IL, MN, WA: $126,100 - $148,300 USD
