HashiCorp is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Terraform Authorship team, working specifically on Terraform Actions. This role is part of a mission-critical initiative to expand Terraform beyond traditional provisioning workflows into Day 2 Operations, enabling comprehensive infrastructure lifecycle management.
The position sits within a new fullstack team working on HCP Terraform, where you'll serve as the frontend expert primarily working with Ember. You'll be instrumental in enabling new workflows and building innovative infrastructure management experiences that shape how Terraform evolves into a comprehensive operations tool.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining application code, with a focus on the Ember frontend. Your role involves contributing to architectural decisions through the RFC process, investigating technical issues, and providing mentorship to team members. You'll work directly with stakeholders to prioritize features and interface with both internal teams and customers.
The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $146,600 to $207,000 USD, varying by location, with the highest range for the SF Bay Area/NYC area. You'll be part of a distributed team across North America and Europe, contributing to HashiCorp's mission of keeping Terraform at the forefront of the Infrastructure-as-Code space.
The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience with modern frontend frameworks, strong debugging skills, and expertise in web accessibility. You should be comfortable with modern browser development technologies and possess excellent written communication skills. Experience with Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
