Responsibilities For Backend Java Engineer - Contract (Outside of iR35)
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot)
- Work on event-driven architectures for football-related data pipelines
- Deploy and scale applications in AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB)
- Implement observability, real-time monitoring, and logging with Datadog
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and partners to meet key project deadlines
- Ensure system reliability and performance in high-traffic, real-time environments
Requirements For Backend Java Engineer - Contract (Outside of iR35)
- Strong experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot
- Proven track record in cloud platforms (AWS, ECS, Lambda)
- Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
- Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Terraform)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to real-time data processing and sports technology
