Description For Software Engineer to HVDC Control & Protection Software

Join Hitachi Energy's Global HVDC Control & Protection Software team in Ludvika, Sweden - the 'Hollywood of Electrical Engineering.' As a Software Engineer, you'll be part of a team responsible for Converter Control, Protection, System Solutions, Sequence & Interlocking, System Supervision & System Communication, Auxiliary Power Systems, and Simulation & Verification. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the green energy transition while working with cutting-edge technology in power transmission.

You'll be involved in all phases of delivery, from design to deployment, working on software functions crucial for safe and reliable operations of plants and transmission links. Requirements For Software Engineer to HVDC Control & Protection Software

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, High Voltage, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Interest or experience in software development and programming
  • Interest or experience in digital control technology, signal processing and filtering
  • Interest or experience from the electric power industry
