Houseful is seeking an Associate Data Engineer to join their Homes data platform team. This role offers an opportunity to help build the next generation data platform and pipelines, and inspire best practices for data within Zoopla.
As an Associate Data Engineer, you will:
- Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS technologies
- Participate in data quality improvements
- Support data warehousing solutions development and maintenance
- Collaborate with various teams to facilitate data availability and quality
- Monitor and optimize data pipelines and queries
- Contribute to monitoring and alerting systems setup
- Help maintain documentation for data systems and processes
- Follow data engineering best practices
Desirable skills include:
- Basic proficiency in Python and SQL (Spark and DBT familiarity is a bonus)
- Some experience with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
- Exposure to building data pipelines or working with data warehouses
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Introduction to Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code platforms
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
