Description For Placement Software Developer- HP Wolf Security

HP Wolf Security is seeking a Placement Software Developer for a 12-month internship starting in July 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join HP's world-class engineering team, focusing on cybersecurity solutions. The position involves working with cutting-edge technology to help build the world's most secure PCs through HP's unique micro-virtualization technology.

As a Placement Software Developer, you'll be directly involved in developing critical security solutions, working on data aggregation from hardware, creating data pipelines, and contributing to the Wolf Controller web application. This role provides hands-on experience with modern technologies including AWS services, Python frameworks, and web development tools.

The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, maintaining a 2:1 or above academic standing. You'll be working in Cambridge, UK, as part of a team dedicated to protecting customers' devices and data from evolving cyber security threats.

  • On track to / achieved 2:1 or above in Science, Mathematics or Engineering discipline
  • Experience with AWS: S3, Spark, Glue Elasticsearch
  • Python programming: Flask, Pandas, JSON
  • HTML, CSS, JS knowledge
  • Must be enrolled in a university program working towards / recently achieved a Bachelors or Masters Degree
