Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer

  • Create and develop automated, containerised cloud application platforms
  • Design and implement DevOps processes
  • Troubleshoot complex, multi-tier architecture problems
  • Maintain version control across platforms
  • Monitor continuous deployment
  • Implement proactive monitoring practices
  • Document system specifications
  • Perform code reviews
  • Research and prototype new technologies
  • Support software testing and quality assurance processes
  • Build unit, functional and integration level tests
  • Respond to alerts and fix bugs

Requirements For DevOps Engineer

  • Solid background in administrating Linux operating systems (CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu)
  • Understanding of IaC (infrastructure as code) principles
  • Proficiency in Python, Perl, PHP, and Ruby
  • Experience with at least one primary coding language like C++ or Java
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Prometheus, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins)
  • Experience with public cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Familiarity with IT monitoring tools like Cloudflare and Elastic
  • Strong focus on security and adherence to NIST and CIS
