Sr IS Software Engineer

Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), founded by George Lucas in 1975, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Information Systems (InfoSys) team in Vancouver. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the world's leading visual effects facility, which has contributed to over 325 feature films including seven of the top 10 worldwide box-office hits.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the InfoSys team, you'll be developing robust cross-platform applications that enable Lucasfilm and its subdivisions to efficiently create and distribute movies and TV shows. The role involves working on a diverse range of projects, from deep integrations with 3rd party software to proprietary web applications supporting Lucasfilm's production and marketing workflows.

You'll be responsible for building and maintaining public-facing websites like ILM.com and Lucasfilm.com, developing the global company intranet, and integrating third-party applications into existing software infrastructure. The position requires expertise in full-stack development, with strong skills in Python, JavaScript, PHP, and database technologies. You'll work in a hybrid environment, spending 2-3 days onsite at the Vancouver office.
