Description For Product Engineer (Node.js)

Infracost is revolutionizing how engineers manage cloud costs by shifting FinOps left into the development workflow. As a Product Engineer focusing on Node.js, you'll be part of a mission to help engineers proactively identify and fix cloud cost issues before they reach production.

You'll join a small but experienced team backed by Sequoia and YC, trusted by Fortune 500 enterprises. The role offers exciting technical challenges, from parsing massive Terraform repos to scaling real-time systems and creating excellent developer UX. Recent projects include scaling to handle customers with thousands of GitHub organizations, building automated infrastructure issue fixing systems with AI integration, and developing the Issue Explorer for enterprise-scale infrastructure management.

The team values customer-centric thinking ("Ustomer, not customer"), transparency ("Open is our core"), and decisive action ("Let's JEDI"). You'll work in a supportive environment that encourages learning, sharing, and quick execution while maintaining high standards.

The position offers competitive compensation (€80-160K EUR), comprehensive benefits including health insurance and 401k matching (US), and employee-friendly equity terms with a 10-year exercise window. With 31 days of paid vacation and 12 weeks of parental leave, the company ensures a healthy work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will have strong Node.js and TypeScript experience, ability to handle performance optimization, and a track record of building systems from scratch. Experience with GraphQL and PostgreSQL is preferred. You'll need to be located in GMT+2 to GMT-6 timezone to ensure effective collaboration.

If you're passionate about solving complex engineering challenges, want to make a real impact on how companies manage cloud costs, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, supportive environment, this role offers an excellent opportunity to shape the future of cloud cost management.
