Description For GPU Validation Engineer

Intel Corporation is seeking a GPU Validation Engineer to join their Client Computing Group (CCG), which drives business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading graphics validation engineers on Intel's latest GPU architecture.

The position involves playing a crucial role in the pre-silicon validation of Intel's cutting-edge graphics IP. You'll be responsible for building emulation/FPGA prototyping platforms, developing efficient verification methodologies, and debugging complex issues. The role combines hardware expertise with software development, requiring strong skills in both domains.

As a GPU Validation Engineer, you'll be working at the intersection of hardware and software, ensuring the quality and functionality of Intel's GPU systems. You'll collaborate with various teams, including architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teams, to maintain and improve validation strategies and methodologies.

Responsibilities For GPU Validation Engineer

  • Define, develop, and perform functional validation for GPUs
  • Apply hardware and software tools to ensure validation coverage and performance goals
  • Review design changes and assess impact on validation plans
  • Develop GPU validation methodologies and execute validation plans
  • Perform silicon debug and resolve functional failures
  • Test interactions between GPU features
  • Develop Pre-Si validation infrastructure
  • Publish GPU validation reports
  • Work with various teams to improve debug and validation strategies

Requirements For GPU Validation Engineer

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree with 5+ years experience
  • Computer Architecture Knowledge and Microarchitecture Fundamentals
  • Experience with Pre-silicon Validation techniques and tools
  • Experience in emulation, FPGA prototyping, acceleration platforms
  • Software programming in C/C++ and automation/scripting
  • Validation Protocols and Strategy Development
  • Familiarity with PCIe standards (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of HW/FW flows (preferred)
