Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer
- Technical ownership of mission-critical software applications and services as part of an agile team
- Project leader for cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, business users, product managers, and other engineers
- Organize and project plan for continuous maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms
- Solve technical problems, from architecting new software applications to addressing production issues
- Engage in code reviews and mentoring of less experienced engineers
- Collaborate with Architecture on system design and development roadmaps
Requirements For Staff Software Engineer
- Associate degree or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a software engineer
- Strong command of the Java programming language
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Significant experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, AngularJS
- Comfortable with AWS environments
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Experience building REST APIs and integrating with backend services
- Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming, system design, data structures, algorithms, and mobile application architecture
