As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining full-stack applications that directly impact the healthcare industry. The role demands a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience who can handle everything from system architecture to production troubleshooting. You'll be working with modern technologies including Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and AWS, while building REST APIs and maintaining complex database systems. Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer

  • Technical ownership of mission-critical software applications and services as part of an agile team
  • Project leader for cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, business users, product managers, and other engineers
  • Organize and project plan for continuous maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms
  • Solve technical problems, from architecting new software applications to addressing production issues
  • Engage in code reviews and mentoring of less experienced engineers
  • Collaborate with Architecture on system design and development roadmaps

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer

  • Associate degree or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a software engineer
  • Strong command of the Java programming language
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Significant experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, AngularJS
  • Comfortable with AWS environments
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
  • Experience building REST APIs and integrating with backend services
  • Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming, system design, data structures, algorithms, and mobile application architecture
