Senior Product Engineer, Machine Learning

Intercom is seeking Senior Product Engineers to join their AI Group to build AI-powered products. As a Product Engineer in ML, you'll work closely with ML Scientists and product teams, deeply understanding the product, customers, ML tech stack, and broader product stack. The AI Group is responsible for defining new ML features, researching algorithms and technologies, and rapidly prototyping for customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building systems powering Intercom's flagship AI products using the ML Python tech stack and Rails app
• Collaborating with ML Scientists to bring proof-of-concept code to production
• Partnering with product teams to shape AI-powered product experiences
• Contributing to all phases of software development
• Mentoring and developing other engineers
• Raising the bar for technical standards and operational excellence

The ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality products
• 1+ year of experience building ML-powered products
• Strong technical fundamentals and a love for learning
• Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language
• Willingness to fight for good outcomes
• Bias towards progress over perfection
• BSc in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, or related discipline
