Data Engineer 2

Intuit is seeking a Data Engineer 2 to join their GBSG Data Engineering team at IDC. This role focuses on leveraging Big Data Technologies to gain new insights into QuickBooks/IES customer experiences. The team utilizes technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and AWS Data Services in an open and collaborative environment where direct interactions are highly valued.

The role involves designing and developing ETL pipelines, working with data warehouse schema design, and implementing data federation techniques at scale. You'll work cross-functionally with various teams including Product Management, Data Scientists, and other Engineers to build world-class analytical capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing complex data models and pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, and AWS services
• Working with business users to develop analytical requirements for various data types
• Supporting large data volumes and flexible source provisioning
• Driving adoption of new technologies and process improvements
• Contributing to project architecture and design across the data landscape

Requirements include:

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Spark and Hive experience
• Strong understanding of data engineering fundamentals
• Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
• Experience with Agile methodologies
