Description For Senior Security Engineer - Security Event Analysis Team (SEAT)

Intuit, a leading global financial technology platform serving 100 million customers worldwide through products like TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join their Security Event Analysis Team (SEAT) within the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT).

This role offers an exciting opportunity to help protect Intuit's vast digital infrastructure and respond to cyber attacks. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in security incident response, incident management, and forensic investigation. You'll be working with cutting-edge security tools and technologies while collaborating with a talented team of security professionals.

Key responsibilities include leading security incident investigations, developing response playbooks, providing on-call support for critical issues, and mentoring other team members. You'll also work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.

  • Oversee and respond to escalated security events and investigations
  • Provide on-call support for critical severity issues
  • Lead forensic analysis and incident investigations
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks
  • Present security best practices training
  • Mentor incident responders on handling techniques
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams

Requirements For Senior Security Engineer - Security Event Analysis Team (SEAT)

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field
  • Industry certifications like AWS Security Specialty, GCIH, GCFA, GFCE, CISSP preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in cybersecurity with focus on digital forensics
  • 1-3 years experience with scripting languages (bash, powershell, python)
  • Experience with EDR tools like CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and frameworks
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of SIEM solutions like Splunk, LogScale
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
