Description For Lead Engineer Design – Embedded Firmware, FPGA (LED1)

JMA Wireless is at the forefront of 5G technology, leading the charge in restoring U.S. leadership in wireless innovation. As a Lead Engineer Design – Embedded Firmware, FPGA (LED1), you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of 5G connectivity.

In this position, you'll be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge 5G embedded firmware for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). You'll work on next-generation 5G cellular hardware systems, creating the electrical engineering backdrop for semiconductor hardware devices. Your expertise will ensure that embedded firmware FPGAs can be reprogrammed to meet evolving application and functionality requirements.

Key responsibilities include facilitating electrical system design, integrating high-speed interfaces for FPGA products, and performing verification of complex FPGA-based embedded firmware platforms. You'll contribute to the electrical development of FPGA embedded CPUs and MCUs, engage in RTL design and verification, and work on FPGA synthesis and lab testing.

To excel in this role, you'll need a Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in FPGA engineer design. Your skill set should include proficiency in C, C++, assembly language, and Python, as well as experience with firmware protocols, RTL design, and various testing and debugging tools.

JMA Wireless offers a competitive salary of $85,670 per year and a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, employee discounts, and various support resources. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, splitting time between the Plano, TX office and remote work from another U.S. location.

Join JMA Wireless and be part of a team that's not just witnessing the 5G revolution but actively shaping it. Your work will impact leading mobile carriers, iconic stadiums, major universities, healthcare centers, transit hubs, and even the U.S. Military. If you're ready to push the boundaries of wireless technology and make a lasting impact on global connectivity, this is your opportunity to shine.
