Responsibilities For Cloud Database Support Engineer
- Offer email and live technical support for complex customer issues, including bug diagnosis and resolving database-related outages
- Reproduce product issues, conduct quality assurance (QA), and submit bug reports or feature requests
- Collaborate with development, sales, and technical account management teams
- Streamline support and engineering processes, author internal documentation, and create run-books
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective support
Requirements For Cloud Database Support Engineer
- 5+ years of customer-facing technical support experience, particularly in complex database systems
- Experience with MySQL or similar databases (e.g., MariaDB, Aurora), along with SQL query optimization skills
- Solid understanding of sysadmin tasks, including Linux systems, system I/O checks, network throughput measurements, and log file analysis
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for quick problem-solving
