As a Long Term Evolution Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and enhancing cellular radio functionality in security panels, working closely with Android software engineering teams and cellular modem vendors. Your expertise in cellular technologies, particularly 4G/LTE, will be crucial as you analyze system logs, identify connectivity issues, and propose solutions.

The role requires a strong background in cellular certification engineering or field testing, with specific expertise in Qualcomm tools like QXDM, QCAT, and Wireshark. You'll serve as a technical lead for carrier certification processes, working with accredited test labs to ensure compliance and resolve any identified issues.

Responsibilities For Long Term Evolution Software Engineer

  • Work with technical support teams, Android software engineering team, and cellular modem vendors
  • Troubleshoot and improve cellular radio function and connectivity in security panels
  • Analyze 4G/LTE cellular connectivity issues through Android operating system logs
  • Collect detailed logs using Qualcomm eXtensible Diagnostic Monitoring (QXDM)
  • Make recommendations to Android software development team
  • Act as technical lead for carrier certification
  • Analyze logs and failures from accredited test labs
  • Provide resolution recommendations to test labs or internal software teams

Requirements For Long Term Evolution Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience as a Cellular Certification Engineer, Field Test Engineer, or related occupation
  • Experience with Qualcomm Modem tool set (QXDM, QCAT, or Wireshark)
  • Experience analyzing Qualcomm QXDM traces
  • Knowledge of LTE protocols
  • Experience with Spirent tools for cellular testing
  • Experience with testing procedures for cellular devices
