Firewall Networking Engineer with Automation

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Firewall Networking Engineer with strong expertise in network security and automation. This role is part of our Global Technology Infrastructure group, where you'll work with cutting-edge technology to secure and optimize our network infrastructure.

As a Firewall Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing and managing firewall rules, developing automation solutions, and ensuring the security of our global network infrastructure. You'll work with enterprise-level security tools including Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint, while leveraging your programming skills to create automation solutions that enhance our security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage production firewall rules in a high-volume operation
• Develop automation solutions using Python and other scripting languages
• Work with APIs to integrate and automate network and security solutions
• Manage change control processes and maintain security standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience with enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto)
• Expertise in networking fundamentals including topology, VLANs, routing, and switching
• Proficiency in Python programming and automation development
• Experience with firewall orchestration tools like Tufin
• Knowledge of log analysis tools (Splunk)
• Strong Linux environment experience
