Product Owner – Data Engineer – Associate

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Product Owner - Data Engineer to join their FRRA (Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis) Innovation Strategy Team. This role combines data engineering expertise with product ownership responsibilities, focusing on delivering critical regulatory reporting solutions.

The position sits within the Corporate Sector, specifically in the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis team, which is responsible for providing essential reports to regulators like FRB, SEC, and Bank of England. As a Product Owner - Data Engineer, you'll be at the intersection of technical data management and business needs, working with both big data and cloud-based solutions.

Your role will involve designing and implementing data queries, applications, and tools that enable sophisticated data management, controls, data modeling, analytics, and reporting. You'll be responsible for sourcing, modeling, and aggregating data used for regulatory reporting, while working closely with business users and technology teams in an Agile framework.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Leading data aggregation and business process automation initiatives
• Developing complex reporting logic using query languages
• Managing the complete SDLC lifecycle from requirements to deployment
• Writing and managing business requirements as user stories
• Collaborating with development teams to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Conducting detailed data analysis and reconciliation

The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong SQL skills, and experience with large data volumes. You should have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence is preferred, as is knowledge of digital analytics tools like Tableau and Alteryx.
