Lead Software Engineer - Python / DevOps - Markets Technology - Athens

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to join JPMorgan Chase's Equities Trading Technology Organization in Athens. As a seasoned member of an agile team, you'll design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. The role involves working closely with the London Business and Global partners within the Equities Execution Services Technology department.

You'll be responsible for executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting across multiple technical areas. The position requires expertise in DevOps practices, including automation, integration, and release management. You'll work on ensuring system observability, tuning production environments for optimal performance, and maintaining high stability standards.

The role is based in our new office in Athens, Greece, supporting our organic growth and innovation efforts in Payments and Markets business globally. J.P. Morgan has a strong presence in Greece spanning over five decades, providing Investment Banking, Payments, and Asset & Wealth Management services.

Key responsibilities include building automated frameworks, managing product regression packs, participating in incident reviews, and creating metric reporting systems. You'll need strong skills in Python/C++, experience with cloud technologies, and understanding of Equities Electronic Trading systems.
