Description For Software Engineer

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Corporate Sector team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on developing risk assessment applications using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing sophisticated risk assessment applications that control operational risk, utilizing Agile methodologies throughout the development lifecycle. You'll work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to capture requirements and participate in design and development meetings.

Key responsibilities include developing risk assessment models using AI/ML, architecting robust software systems, creating detailed documentation, and ensuring high-quality code through comprehensive testing. You'll work with various technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Python, and SQL, while building large-scale data processing systems and implementing risk assessment modules.

The position requires a Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field, plus 3 years of relevant experience. Strong expertise in Java, cloud technologies, and data processing is essential. Responsibilities For Software Engineer

  • Use Agile software development methodology to develop risk assessment applications
  • Understand Operational Risk & Control domain and work with Product Owners
  • Develop risk assessment models using AI, machine learning, and risk management modeling
  • Architect and document software systems
  • Create UML and Entity-Relationship diagrams
  • Develop Web, Batch, and DB applications
  • Perform code reviews and security scans
  • Create unit tests and perform integration tests
  • Automate software release using CI/CD
  • Work with OPS team for monitoring and production issues

Requirements For Software Engineer

  • Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle
  • Knowledge of Cloud Native Microservices architecture and REST APIs
  • Experience with Cucumber, Junit, Selenium, Cypress testing
  • Experience building large-scale data processing systems
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with BigData processing and PySpark
  • Experience developing AI/ML models and risk assessment modules
