Software Engineer III - Mainframe

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Commercial and Investment Bank Broker Dealer Platform team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with mainframe technologies in a leading financial institution.

As a Software Engineer III, you'll be a seasoned member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products. The position involves working with critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm's business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Creating secure and high-quality production code
• Producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
• Working with large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement
• Contributing to software engineering communities and exploring new technologies

Required technical skills:

• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, MQ, and SQL
• Experience with ChangeMan or similar version control tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
