Staff Software Engineer II

Kaseya, a leading provider of IT infrastructure and security management solutions, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer II to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on their Datto BCDR backup products in a hybrid work environment.

The role involves designing, testing, and building backup solutions that are critical to their MSP customers' operations. You'll be working with a tech stack that includes PHP (Symfony framework), Go, and Python, though specific language experience is not a requirement as they value willingness to learn new technologies.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing new features that improve the MSP experience and ensure reliable and secure data backup and recovery. The role requires strong expertise in Linux systems, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and authentication frameworks. Experience with hypervisors and ZFS filesystems is advantageous but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software development experience and strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and algorithms. You should be passionate about collaborative teamwork, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards of code quality. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation, requiring strong troubleshooting abilities.
