Description For IA Engineer/Cyber Security Engineer

KBR is seeking a skilled Information Assurance Engineer II/Cyber Security Engineer to join their team supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) AIRWorks program. This role represents a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cybersecurity and aerospace systems, ensuring the security and integrity of critical military aircraft platforms including F-35, FA-18, and MQ-25.

The position involves comprehensive cybersecurity responsibilities, from risk assessment and security engineering to compliance management and incident response. You'll be working with classified and unclassified systems, applying your expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security control implementation to protect vital aerospace systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a cybersecurity professional with at least 5 years of experience who wants to make a significant impact in military aviation security. The role offers a competitive salary range of $117,000-$146,000, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities For IA Engineer/Cyber Security Engineer

  • Perform full-spectrum cyber security research, analysis, and engineering for AIRWorks project teams
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure security measures are in place and effective
  • Ensure compliance with Navy, DoD, and federal cyber security standards
  • Research, design, and develop Cyber Security solutions for information systems
  • Design, develop, and execute cyber security test plans
  • Support security documentation development
  • Manage authorization packages in the eMASS system
  • Assist in security incident identification, response, and resolution

Requirements For IA Engineer/Cyber Security Engineer

  • High School Diploma & 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SSBI
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and eMASS
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Pax River, MD
