Lead Software Engineer

Kraken, a pioneering technology company in the sustainable energy sector, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their French Market team. This role combines technical leadership with people management, focusing on transforming complex energy industry regulations into seamless user experiences. The position is part of a 1500-strong global engineering team that's revolutionizing energy management through innovative solutions.

The role offers a unique opportunity to lead and grow a local team while working on challenging problems that directly contribute to Net Zero goals. You'll be responsible for implementing country-specific regulations and creating user-friendly interfaces that serve thousands of energy specialists worldwide. The position requires a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days per week on-site in Paris.

As a Tech Lead, you'll be hands-on with code while managing team growth and development. The tech stack includes Python, Django, React, TypeScript, and various modern tools for continuous delivery and monitoring. You'll work closely with global product teams, engage with stakeholders, and help shape the future of energy management systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python/Django, web development, and team leadership. Knowledge of French energy industry regulations is advantageous.
