Description For Localisation Engineer

LanguageWire is seeking a passionate Localisation Engineer to join their team. This role involves working on and coordinating ongoing projects, managing a portfolio of existing customers, and problem-solving across relevant accounts. Key responsibilities include analyzing customer formats using translation memory systems, pre- and post-processing files for translation, performing quality assurance, making technical adjustments to files, supporting the team in developing customer-specific processes, and coordinating with project management, sales, and customers.

The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience in localization, excellent knowledge of CAT tools (across, MemoQ, SDL Trados Studio) and terminology tools (SDL MultiTrem), knowledge of Software Localization tools (Passolo), basic HTML/XML knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with Python scripting. Very good knowledge of English is required.

Responsibilities For Localisation Engineer

  • Analyse and check customer formats using translation memory systems
  • Pre- and post-process files for translation and carry out quality assurance measures
  • Technical work on localization projects: work with software tools and user documentation to make technical adjustments to files
  • Support the team in developing and maintaining customer-specific processes for translation, software localization and terminology
  • Coordinate and interface with project management team, sales and customers
  • Provide input to pre-sale planning and estimating of projects

Requirements For Localisation Engineer

Python
  • 2+ years experience in localization
  • Excellent knowledge of CAT tools (across, MemoQ, SDL Trados Studio) and terminology tools (SDL MultiTrem)
  • Knowledge of Software Localization tools (Passolo)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/XML
