You'll be part of the Platform Systems, Integration, and Test Team, responsible for designing and implementing the critical interface between self-driving technology and the vehicle platform.

Your primary focus will be leading the systems engineering of all customer-facing HMI functions, ensuring safe and confident user interaction with the self-driving system. Responsibilities For Systems Engineer - HMI

  • Lead systems engineering of customer-facing HMI functions
  • Write safety and performance requirements for HMI following ISO 26262 and SOTIF standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional systems and software teams at Latitude and Ford
  • Work with integration and test engineers to develop and execute Design Verification Plan
  • Collaborate with human factors teams to generate data-driven metrics for HMI interfaces
  • Hands-on product testing and design validation

Requirements For Systems Engineer - HMI

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in automotive or robotics engineering
  • Experience working in production applications of customer HMI
  • Experience writing functional requirements
  • Experience writing safety requirements to meet ISO 26262 or similar standards
