Senior SQL Engineer, Healthcare

LeanTaaS is seeking a Senior SQL Engineer to join their team responsible for managing data integrations of their hospital inpatient SaaS product. This role is critical as data powers their platform and empowers users. The position requires a blend of engineering skills, data wrangling expertise, and customer engagement abilities to work with both technical and clinical staff at hospitals.

As a Senior SQL Engineer, you will:

• Manage, write, and maintain hospital data ingestion SQL queries and configurations
• Collaborate with hospital IT teams for data extracts and timely integrations
• Ensure data warehouse fidelity and stakeholder trust in the data
• Oversee client data feed operations and error resolution
• Manage data specifications, technical designs, and customer-specific glossaries
• Work with backend engineering and product teams to set technical direction for the data ingestion pipeline
• Assist the sales team with pre-sales technical requirements and phased onboarding plans

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 3+ years of SQL experience
• Expertise in building client relationships and trust
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of hospital data protocols (HL7, FHIR)
• Experience with EHR vendors and hospital IT teams
• Empathy for users

Bonus skills include clinical or direct patient care experience and proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
