Systems Software Engineer - Onsite

Leica Biosystems, a global leader in cancer diagnostics and part of the Danaher family, is seeking a Systems Software Engineer for their Vista, California location. This role is crucial in advancing cancer diagnostics through software development and integration.

The position involves system-level software integration, managing requirements, interfaces, and cybersecurity while ensuring traceability and configuration management across systems and products. As part of the Software Team reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for software development, documentation, and system interfaces and interoperability.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with 2+ years of software engineering experience. Strong knowledge of Linux-based development tools and build environments, including CMake, is essential. Experience with configuration management systems and processes is required, while familiarity with agile development and medical product development regulations is preferred.
