Description For Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Lightmatter is at the forefront of revolutionizing AI data center infrastructure with their groundbreaking Passage™ technology - the world's first 3D-stacked photonics engine. Having recently secured $400 million in Series D funding at a $4.4 billion valuation, they're rapidly expanding their innovative work in data center photonics.

This role presents a unique opportunity to join their analog team in developing the world's first photonic computers. As a key member, you'll be working at the intersection of mixed-signal design, photonics, and digital electronics. The position requires both deep expertise in analog/mixed-signal IC design and the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of experience (with MS) or 5+ years (with Ph.D.) in semiconductor industry experience, particularly in Analog/Mixed-signal IC design. You'll be responsible for leading feasibility studies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of analog circuit development from design to production.

What makes this role exceptional is the chance to work on truly groundbreaking technology that connects thousands to millions of processors at the speed of light. You'll be joining a team of brilliant scientists and accomplished industry leaders, working in an environment where outside-the-box thinking is the norm. The company offers competitive compensation ($190,000-$230,000) and comprehensive benefits, including health care, retirement savings, and equity grants.

This is an opportunity to be at the cutting edge of computing technology, making significant contributions to extreme-scale data centers for advanced AI and HPC workloads. If you're passionate about tackling complex challenges and want to be part of (re)inventing the future of computing with light, this role offers the perfect platform to make your mark in this revolutionary field.
