Responsibilities For Lead Tools Engineer

  • Lead tools and dev-ops engineering team to develop key game and game adjacent tools and build systems
  • Work with IT teams to ensure quality setup for developers and pipelines
  • Create, monitor, and control metrics impacting product and team quality
  • Design and build performant, reliable tools using proven practices
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple tools and build systems
  • Mentor and develop engineering colleagues
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new team members

Requirements For Lead Tools Engineer

Python
  • 7+ years of professional game programming experience
  • At least 1 shipped/published AAA title
  • Experience with game console hardware
  • Deep understanding of game and game adjacent tools
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Expert with C++, C# and Python
  • Good 3D math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience bringing multiple large-scale game titles to completion
