Responsibilities For Director, Edge & Traffic Engineering
- Define, develop, and execute comprehensive traffic engineering strategy
- Drive continuous improvement in performance, reliability, and availability
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams
- Oversee architecture and optimization of traffic routing and DNS systems
- Manage DNS resolution and traffic routing policies
- Lead deployment of geographically distributed traffic management systems
- Direct design and maintenance of traffic routing platforms
- Implement and monitor proxy systems
- Establish incident management and troubleshooting processes
- Track key performance metrics and SLAs
- Lead and mentor traffic engineering team
Requirements For Director, Edge & Traffic Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in network engineering
- Minimum of 8 years in a leadership role
- 5+ years experience managing large-scale, global networks
- Experience in networking technologies and protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
