The role demands a seasoned leader with 15+ years of engineering leadership experience who can drive both strategic vision and hands-on technical direction. You'll be responsible for managing LinkedIn's streaming, batch processing, data lake, and online serving document store ecosystems. The position requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.

As a Director, you'll shape the future of LinkedIn's infrastructure reliability while working with cutting-edge technologies including Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and various cloud platforms.   • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 15+ years in Engineering leadership focused on dev/ops based roles leading teams of engineers of size 40+
  • 8+ years of building software to simplifying operations and reducing toil in managing large scale infrastructure
  • 8+ years experience in Cloud data infrastructure, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Hadoop infrastructure
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, Linux-based systems, container orchestration
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools
  • Experience attracting, retaining, and developing top engineering talent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
