On the AI Algorithm Foundation team, we aspire to tackle various foundational challenges in AI algorithms across all of LinkedIn. The team collaborates with partner teams to develop state-of-the-art AI technologies and systems to advance our algorithms, ultimately improving product performance and member experience.
Responsibilities: • Participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team. • Collaborate with application engineering, product, and partner teams to design machine learning solutions. • Operate best engineering and scientific practices & processes to ensure productivity of the team and drive faster iterations via A/B experiments. • Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members. • Lead a team of 15-20 world class engineers.
Basic Qualifications: • 7+ years of relevant professional experience • 3+ years of management experience • BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical technical experience • Hands on experience in data modeling and machine learning engineering
Preferred Qualifications: • 10+ years of relevant professional work experience • 5+ years of experience leading engineering or AI/ML teams • At least one year of experience managing other managers and/or technical leads. • Domain experience in recommendation systems • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fields
