Description For Senior Technical Services Manager

LinkedIn is seeking a Senior Technical Services Manager to join our Product Quality organization in a hybrid role based in Sunnyvale, Omaha, or New York. This position represents a unique opportunity to impact product quality at the world's largest professional network.

As a Sr. Technical Services Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest level of product health and quality for LinkedIn's members and customers. You'll leverage advanced technical and analytical skills to monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex product issues while working closely with Engineering and Product Management teams.

The role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. You'll own product health for large product areas, lead cross-team initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making. Key responsibilities include developing strategic roadmaps for issue prevention, analyzing quality metrics, managing escalations, and ensuring support readiness for new product launches.

You'll need 8+ years of relevant experience, strong technical background including SQL and Unix skills, and excellent communication abilities to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position offers competitive compensation ($127,000-$207,000), equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities For Senior Technical Services Manager

  • Act as a senior technical expert, owning the product health and quality for a large product area or multiple products
  • Develop, drive and execute strategic and tactical roadmap to proactively identify and prevent production issues
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics related to product quality
  • Review, investigate, and resolve complex technical member cases within target SLAs
  • Lead cross team discussions and ensure ideas are challenged respectfully
  • Build and monitor reporting and dashboards
  • Partner with Product & Engineering stakeholders
  • Drive post mortems to identify process gaps
  • Drive overall support readiness for new products and features

Requirements For Senior Technical Services Manager

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical fields
  • 8+ years of experience in Technical Support, Quality Assurance, Product Operations, Product Management or related field
  • Experience working with databases like SQL, Oracle or similar
  • Professional experience with Unix command line and/or Unix shell scripting
  • Professional experience with APIs or other web development technologies
  • Analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
