Description For Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager

LinkedIn is seeking a Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join their Infrastructure Engineering Technical Program Management Group. This role is part of LinkedIn's Infrastructure engineering organization, which consists of over 2,000 engineers responsible for the infrastructure that runs linkedin.com.

The Sr. Staff TPM will have the opportunity to drive cutting-edge improvements to LinkedIn's advanced machine learning infrastructure and platforms. They will own and drive key areas of LinkedIn's AI/ML infrastructure and platforms that power all AI applications across LinkedIn's products serving hundreds of millions of users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining strategy for large-scale, multi-phased technical programs in Data and AI platform infrastructure
  • Leading technical programs through the full lifecycle process
  • Defining, scoping, and tracking ancillary operations projects
  • Partnering with VP level leadership on program execution and organization efficiency
  • Working closely with ML infrastructure engineering to coordinate and deploy features to production
  • Managing and maintaining program roadmap and ensuring forward momentum with strategic execution
  • Mentoring individuals in best practices for planning and execution
  • Developing strong partnerships with technology and business leaders

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 8+ years of technical program management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, Data, or ML/AI platform areas
  • B.S./B.A. in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience leading teams and technical programs at the intersection of Data, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and Hardware
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure domains in both Cloud and On-Prem Data Center settings
  • Understanding of fleet modernization and modern cloud technologies
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in diverse, team-focused environments
