LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Systems and Infrastructure team. This is a unique opportunity to work on next-generation infrastructure and platforms that power LinkedIn's services at massive scale.

The role focuses on building critical systems including application and service delivery platforms, compute platforms, scalable data storage systems, cutting-edge search platforms, AI platforms, experimentation platforms, and privacy/compliance platforms. You'll be working with a world-class engineering team that has pioneered well-known open-source projects like Apache Kafka, Pinot, Azkaban, Samza, Venice, Datahub, and Feather.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll own technical strategy for complex requirements, design and implement large-scale distributed systems, and improve system observability and developer productivity. You'll have the opportunity to mentor other engineers, shape technical culture, and collaborate with the open-source community on cutting-edge projects.

The position offers competitive compensation ($156,000 - $255,000) and comprehensive benefits including health and wellness programs, generous time away, and fair compensation practices. The role can be based in Mountain View, San Francisco, or Bellevue with a hybrid work arrangement that balances remote work with in-office collaboration.

This is an ideal opportunity for experienced engineers passionate about distributed systems, infrastructure, and open source who want to make an impact at scale while working with industry-leading technologies and talented peers. LinkedIn offers a culture built on trust, care, inclusion, and fun where everyone can succeed.
